If you own a diesel truck, chances are you probably have a big love for trucks in general. While you probably spend some time keeping your diesel truck in the best possible condition, it is also fun to spend some free time enjoy trucks owned by other people by heading out to a big truck show. There are many truck shows held annually around the United States. Here are just a few examples of fun venues particularly suited to those who love trucks.

If there is one month when you should be free always, it would be in June. The American Truck Historical Society usually holds an exhibit and convention during this month, and it is a fantastic event for anyone who enjoys seeing and learning about antique trucks. There are tons of great old trucks on display and some interesting seminars that you can attend, as well. The convention is held in a different location each year, to allow people from different parts of the country to attend more easily.

Another fun option to consider is Heat Wave. This is a series of shows that is held in different locations throughout the state of Texas. Unlike that of the American Truck Historical Society though, Heat Wave focuses more on the contemporary models. What makes this truck show more amazing is that this also includes competitions. Among these are hydraulic competitions, burnout competitions, and even audio competitions. All these definitely serve as major attractions of the event. Truck lovers from all over the country come over to Texas to enjoy these Heat Wave events.

While many may not have heard much about the town of Tunica in Mississippi, avid trucker fans know this tiny hamlet as the site of the annual Showfest. This yearly show is one of the most popular truck shows in the country. A huge amount of custom trucks are showcased at this annual event. There are also tons of vendors on hand, selling everything from helpful accessories to aftermarket parts that can help you transform your own truck into a masterpiece.

Slamboree is another truck show that you cannot miss if you live in Oklahoma. This is an annual show held in Tulsa, but it definitely attracts truck enthusiasts from around the country. Aside from the trucks, there are also some custom motorcycles and cars displayed too.

As a serious truck lover, you may not want to just be part of the visitors. You may wish to be one of those who gain fame because they actually joined the show. This would require you to upgrade your truck in the best way possible. This could be done by acquiring custom aftermarket parts such as a diesel tuner, cold air intake, and an exhaust kit. In addition, you will also want to consider increasing wheel and tire sizes, applying custom paint and adding other attractive features for a truly unique look.
