Bike rides are fun but comes with lots of risk. With this in mind, every rider needs to be equipped with a god helmet that provides a clear view of the road. Any bike ride comes with its dangers hence the advice to riders to always be safe and protected. Maintaining the helmet to serve you better and longer requires the use of motorcycle visor cleaner that will leave the helmet looking clear and new.

Cleaning a helmet may not be as simple as it looks. For thorough cleaning, the helmet needs to be dismantled and this requires a knowhow and right tools. Poor quality detergent and tools will damage the helmet therefore causing poor vision when riding. When a person is not sure of how to do it, the professionals should be left to clean.

Most manufacturers of these cleaning products take it upon themselves to pack cleaning materials with the product. This saves the consumers the task of searching for the right cleaning material. Special clothes or sponges are provided so the visor and helmet are well taken care of without any scratches left. They also ensure the chemicals are safe for your hands when using them.

In the process of cleaning your motorcycle helmet, cotton buds and brushes may be needed. Once you have all the necessary material, find an open space and get to work. Consider doing this with the sun up so as to speed up the process of drying the helmet both outside and inside. Use a counter or wide table so as to make your work easy.

Your hands need to be washed first before starting the cleaning process. Ensure the brushes and cotton buds are clean and smooth. Failure to observe this may result in tear or scratch in the helmet. If it is your first time or when not familiar with the parts of the helmet, take a picture so as to have it easy when reassembling the pieces.

As soon as you're ready with all that is required, it is time to lay on the table the helmet. Remove the parts and screws one by one and lay them in order of removal. The helmet pads and inner lining are removed and soaked in warm water with a visor disinfectant.

The visor is then cleaned by use of a non invasive sponge. Use the fingers on the glass surface to detect any dirt to be removed. Clean the unreachable sections with the brush and soft cloth to shine the surface when through. After drying the visor, spray on it a coat of chemical to prevent fogging.

Wait for all the parts to dry fully before starting the reassembly process. Ensure you lubricate the parts with grease to prevent friction and keep rust away. Using the photos taken earlier, confirm piece by piece as you assemble the parts. Tighten all the screws well then apply a thin coat of shine on the helmet surface to make it shiny and new looking. When through, keep the remaining motorcycle visor cleaner in a safe place away from children and direct sunlight. It can be reused many times depending on its quantity and the cleaning needs of every individual helmet.
