The world of racing encompasses a very broad reach than you can ever imagine. Generally, it is a competition of speed. Racers race against the clock, against each other, or against a specific criterion. It can be run continuously without stopping, or it can be made up of laps, levels, or stages.

Racing is a very broad term that can be used for many types. For example, games of speed that are used to test muscular strength is also called racing. Hurdles, marathons, sprint finishes, and even swimming can fall under this basic category. It can also come in the form of animal race, for which the use of the horse is very familiar. Racing can also be used to describe speed competitions between automobiles which is invariably known as all star circuit of champions sprint cars .

Auto racing is a fast rising sport that more and more people are getting interested in. It is a sport that involves speedy cars that race against each other in a competition. It started as early as 1894 in a motoring competition. Sixty nine vehicles that were comprised by both serious manufacturers and amateur owners initially went off to join, but only twenty five were selected for the main race from Paris to Rouen.

Since then, it has propelled itself to stardom and it looks like it has no plans of ever going down. Since there are so many kinds of automobiles that are used to race, there are also many categories of auto racing, according to vehicle type. Open wheel cars, for example, are a staple at formula one races.

Touring cars may not be at par with the F1 ones when it comes to speed, but they are most certainly faster than the rest. They have lesser aerodynamic impact which gives them an easier pass time than their speedier counterparts. This form is widely popular in Japan, Australia, Britain, Italy, Brazil, Germany, and Nordic countries.

There is a reason why touring autos are not very well known in North America. This is mainly because stock cars have already made a claim to the spotlight. Almost every young boy who grew up watching the Sprint Car Series would love to become a NASCAR racer.

Sprint cars are high powered vehicles that are always a main feature in dirt track races. These type of automobiles are designed with the intent of making them run on short oval or circular tracks that are either paved or covered with dirt. They have a very high power to weight ratio, which allows most to run on speeds of 140 mph.

Sprint cars are made to run on a dirt track, unlike all the other types wherein the automobiles get to race in asphalt. The track most often sports a circular or oval shape. This requires a very excellent skill in maneuvering your vehicle, as dirt is a very difficult terrain to race on.

The ASCoC or the All Star Circuit of Champions, for example, is also known as Americas Series due to its unbelievable popularity. Around 50 races are conducted per season which is participated in by many famous names in the racing world. These races and mostly held in the Eastern states.
