The cost of the car and all work will be equally divided between members and the car shared throughout the year when completed. A lot of drivers have purchased their cars from scrap yards and junk warehouses and bargains can sometimes be found. Many of the vehicles will have been taken there after breaking down or being involved in an accident. If you plan to buy from a scrap trader then always make sure that all of the paperwork is given to you when you buy.
