People like to speed with the wind to be free again. Individuals travel great distances to feel the breath of fresh country air. The roar of the engines, the screeching of tires as the vehicles makes tight turns gives the driver an intense feeling of thrill and excitement. More so if one is driving a muscle car. Enthusiasts of muscle cars get corvette interior parts from the original manufacturer.

If an individual is not an athlete and it wants to experience what it was like for early man to travel long distances, try hiking cross country. It is not an easy task when relying only on the two legs to move from start to destination and this was done under climactic conditions that were as unpredictable as it is today.

The unlikely friendship of man and other wild creatures provided impetus in the development of transportation. Wild beasts were initially harness to move goods but the beasts often were slow footed albeit strong in bearing burdens. Man always yearned for speed. To go somewhere at the earliest possible time was a goal that it hoped to achieve.

The equestrian sport is a testimony to the affinity of master and horse. It is the epitome of a relationship established for many centuries in war and in piece. Renaissance artwork has given us masterpieces from the great painter and sculptors like that of emperors astride or riding a horse. This amazing creature spelled the difference between victory and defeat in times of war.

It was an era of great scientific discoveries and inventions and these substituted hand held tools as the newfangled notions were power driven. The steam engine gave impetus to the industrial revolution. It ushered in industrial activity as the machineries were put together in large industrial establishments. The powered loom and the printing press were direct beneficiaries of the technology.

The invention of the automobile was giant leap from horse driven carriages. It revolutionized transportation and logistics industry as people, goods, and services where delivered in bulk and within a very short time. This contraption was crude at first when technology was at its infancy. These were made by craftsmen who made furniture and were more like a horseless carriage in shape.

Today the automobile is road king. Metal makes up most vehicle components. The engine block is solid cast iron made to withstand extreme heat and even so, a radiator is still attached to it to prevent it from breaking. The tire rims are metal of metal composite able to bear heavy load without collapsing. Mineral ore deposit can be found in different earth regions.

Twentieth century technology as people know it today is fully acknowledged as reference not only industrial arts and its study but also of industrial art as a technology. Implements, tools, machine, equipment and anything that is used for the betterment of mankind and society can be defined as technology. It also includes material technology. An alloy made by combining metal elements is material technology.

Zoom is the word used to describe when a speeding vehicle passes by. Cross country pleasure riding is a pleasure the young and old would love to do. There is nothing like it. The love of speed the thrill of a swerve, the sound of roaring engine, and the screech of brakes all give a heady experience to both passenger and driver alike.
