Air conditioning in the vehicle always seems to give up on work at the worst of times. Like on a hot summer day when one as driven far from their own mechanic. Or on a day when there is absolutely no time to visit the mechanic. It would, therefore, be useful to know what the possible issues could be. This way car automotive AC service Spokane can be directed over the phone. If it is something quick and simple, why not just tweak it and keep on going?

One of the most common issues is with the air filter. The cabin air filter is all about regulation of airflow. One will know that airflow is not being properly regulated if the air is not achieving the desired coolness or warmth. This can be very frustrating since the machine will not be serving its purpose. The solution could possibly be to replace the filter.

Another issue could be electrical connections. See, the entire system relies on power. From the cooling fans to the compressor. A good way to confirm would be to check if the middle pulley in the engine bay is moving along with the rest of it. If it is not then it could be urged along with refrigerant or replacement of a part. Before either action is taken, one will usually need to check for other symptoms.

Then there is dirt. Annoying little specks of dust and other debris that build up to become big lumps of trouble. There are techniques to clear these out of course. However, if one is not careful they might get water into the wrong places. Like how if one gets a drop of water in the air pipes. They choke and cough until their eyes almost hang out of their sockets. Another common thing is black death. This is usually brought on by mixing cooling agents or oils. It is always better to stick to a type.

Then there are leaks. There is a specialized device one can use to check for leaks. It is hooked up to the compressor, condenser and drier to check for possible leaks. Now the system might trick one into thinking there is no leaking. In this case, one is advised to turn up the sensitivity. This will really confirm that everything is as it should be. A leak in the wrong place for an extended period could cause a very inconvenient incident, to say the least.

The refrigerant is another common cause of issues. Being so common some may rush to deal with that before checking for other possible issues. This has its own downsides. As mentioned before do not mix refrigerants. Like if the system uses R134, stick to that. If the cooling agent is refilled in liquid form then the compressor will fail as it is unable to work with the element.

Be on the lookout for signs of a full-on break down in the future. Have the mechanic check out the system at the regular service this way issues can be rectified before they get any further. It is always better to stick to one mechanic or shop. One who is always reachable. One who always comes through.

One can also find information online. The internet has become a lot like a community. There are platforms where one can find useful tips on system maintenance. Even find tutorials on how to refill refrigerant.
