Most vehicles will at some point need attention from an auto engineer and replacement parts fitting after failure or breakdown. If you own a European made car it can often be hard to find spares and the mechanics to get the job done. If you are looking for european automotive specialists there are a few places to look and they can be found.

There will probably be mechanics shops and parts stores in your town or city that will cater for European made cars. These businesses will carry a stock of spares and will be able to carry out repairs. If they have to order parts from abroad there may be a slight delay in getting your work done as it can take some time for them to be shipped from the manufacturers.

There are shops in many towns and cities that will stock what you are looking for. There are auto stores in Duluth, GA that carry large stocks of spares for European manufactured vehicles and some will also have mechanics who can work on your vehicle. They may also be able to supply you with components for older vehicles that are no longer in production.

Auto stores normally carry a large stock of parts for vehicles from the smallest nuts and washers to full exhaust systems and engine blocks. Wheels, brakes and trim may also be found. If you are visiting a store to buy spares it is advisable to take the old one along so that it can be compared to the replacement.

The internet is another place where you may locate difficult to find spares and automotive technicians. There are many web sites available that specialize in European made vehicle parts and most models are catered for. Bear in mind that if you order any items online you will have to add shipping costs to the total cost and insurance may also be required in case the package is lost or damaged in transit.

Many towns will have a local junk yard where scrap vehicles are taken after major breakdowns and road accidents. These can be a good place to find spares and most will have a warehouse where parts are on shelves ready to go or they will allow buyers to strip the cars. If you are using second hand car parts it is advisable to have them inspected by a mechanic before they are used.

Vehicle owners clubs are also a good place to locate mechanics and spares that may be unavailable in stores. Members often trade or swap spares and some will have mechanics as members who may be able to carry out work on your model of car. Being a member of a club also has other benefits and you may receive discounts from some overseas parts suppliers.

It is important to always use genuine factory parts if at all possible and only let trained mechanics work on your car. After market spares are available for many vehicles and in most cases they will be adequate replacements and fit for purpose. If your car is still under guarantee from the manufacture then only use genuine spares as any others will cancel these guarantees and could be costly if your car suffers a major mechanical failure.
