The best way to get around the Americas is by train. You can actually move from one coast to the other is just three days. It is considered as the most economical and practical ways to travel around the country. There a plenty of cheap trips to choose from. They cost as little as two hundred and twenty seven dollars. The trip usually goes from 3 to 4 days.

The railroad indeed plays a significant part in American history. Many people quiver to get on these railroad expedition. Whether you are looking to enjoy a blast from the past or looking for the perfect spot for next adventure, there is always something interesting in store for you. These great American rides are now even available on train dvds.

Although some enjoy driving, it is still convenient to follow the track. Driving long hours is very exhausting. You would have to make frequent stops only to keep yourself from exhaustion. But in the tube, you are in for a wonderful treat. No need to weary yourself finding a place to stay for the night or a good meal to fill your belly.

To begin your journey across the Americas, you board the coach on Penn Station in Manhattan, New York. This railroad service operates daily and the trip runs overnight and stops at the Union station in Illinois at forty five minutes past nine A. M.

When you board this sequential carriage, make sure to get a seat by the window. The thrill of the adventure is just about to begin. You would not want to miss seeing those charming landscapes arrayed on the Hudson river bank.

Plenty of historical landmarks array the banks of the great Hudson River. The old, ruined house on Bannerman Island is one of the first features that you will see. West Point Military Academy shows up thereafter. A series of huge road bridges spans across the entire Hudson River. Great views of Albany are seen outside of the window on your left side. There are small commuter towns, marinas, marshland and the beautiful countryside.

At 7 P. M., the line stops at Rensselaer in Albany. This would be a great time for you to stretch your legs a little bit. Maybe you feel your stomach growling. Either you head out to enjoy some fresh air or just order one of their sumptuous meals. Recline your seat forty degrees to rest your aching back. Better yet, just get a sleeper for greater relaxation. A great breakfast awaits to greet you when you wake up.

This is the classic New York Central Railroad route which starts from the Grand Central Terminal up to Chicago, Illinois. The trip passes through a few wonderful towns and cities like Michigan, Rochester and Syracuse. You get to see lush green farmlands when the stage crosses Ohio and enters Indiana. The Elkhart railroad museum will greet you there at eight P. M. About an hour after, the entourage finally arrives in Chicago where you switch caravans at the Union station.

You would then need to drop off at Union station. Then, take another chaise going to California. However, this next trip will not start until afternoon at 2 p. M. But no worries. There are many interesting sights to explore. By the time you board the next trip, you already have a wealth of stories on your journal. You could write an entire book out of this expedition.
