Driving a car for the first time can be challenging but once you have learn all about the basics, you become confident and by then you can start practicing. However, there are many times when you wonder what you can do when given a driving stick shift car when used to automatic cars. This is simple although somehow challenging at first but when used to the moves, you will like the drive.

The first step knows the basics of a manual car before you even get to the driver seat. Therefore research on the basics and then proceed to the action if you want to do this by your own. There are rules which apply on stick shift vehicles which are mandatory since there is no way you can drive this without following every step.

The first statute of driving a manual car is to push the clutch in and make the gear lever free where you feel it does not get stuck before it swings from one corner to the other. After doing this, you should start the engine ensuring there is no one in front of the car so if you made a mistake and you did not remove kit, you will not make an accident.

At this time, you are ready to start the engine and start making your first move. Push the clutch in after the engine is on and engage the first drive gear. Then, you can release it slowly when the other leg is pushing in the gas at the same pace. Automobile will start gaining power and will eventually start moving. At this point you are nervous but you need not to worry if you follow the instructions I am giving correctly.

The second this is to start moving by releasing grasp slowly while pushing in the gas pedal also slowly at the same pace. This will power the engine and the car will start moving. If you are already conversant with automatic vehicle, you will be able to navigate the steering wheel and keep the car on the road.

After this, you should relax the leg which was stepping on clutch to relax since you will be required to do the same when you reach your destination or changing the driving gear. After doing this, make sure you practice on the same for some time so you will master the moves.

When you want to stop, make sure you are not speeding then push in the clutch while releasing the gas to make the engine relax and move freely. Then, move the leg which was on the gas to the brake pedal and step on in. Push it slowly until the car stops. Before switching the engine off, you need to leave the gear free and engage the hand brake. Here, you can release the clutch and switch off the engine.

This is the only way you can be able to make your moves on a busy traffic where ever one on the road considers you a qualified driver. Therefore, you should do this repeatedly. When stopping, make sure to push the clutch in while still releasing the accelerator and push brake pedal to stop.
