A type of auto race that is performed on oval shaped tracks is called dirt track racing. The floor surface of the track is made of dirt or clay. In most countries, this is a very popular kind of auto racing. In different local and regional places in those countries, you can find many race tracks.

Two kinds of vehicles which are commonly used are open wheel racers and stock cars. Open wheel racer is being manufactured with a tubular frame and with a body that is being purchased only for that class type. Stock cars are varied by the major automakers by its chassis in a full tube frame and body models made out from aluminum. Dirt track racing Arkansas can be one best example for places in this type of race.

Aside from these two wheel racer cars, there are also some other race vehicles that are being used. Modified cars are a composite of both open wheel and stock cars. But these type is being controlled by the sanctioning bodies in most tracks. Sanctioning bodies have different set of rules and guidelines.

Non production car is one type of car which is built only for racing. It consists of welded tubular frames and its bodies are customized and are purchased. Some other types of full bodied race car include limited late models, crate late models, late models, and the late model stock.

Late model is a tube frame chassis constructed with steel and with aluminum bodies that gives them a smooth appearance of a race car. These type is can be expensive. There is some equipment which are cheaper compared to other equipment, but staying competitive is much expensive.

Late model stock and limited model are similar in the parts of the body. They only differ in motor rules. Limited model has rules of limitation of the engine. Late model stock has much more limitations when it comes to the engine. Sanctioning bodies have a variety of rules on this. Requirements should be coordinated in order for the drivers to be racing in many tracks and would allow them to have more chance in winning.

Engines in crate models are sealed with a special tag. These are sealed in oil pans, cylinder heads, intake manifolds, and front covers. Factory specifications for crate models are not allowed to be changed, altered, or modified. Organizations that are sponsoring these events have different rules in highlighting each type of race car. These rules includes the engine size, dimensions, prohibitions, and equipment requirements.

Even if this competition is popular and is very known, avoidance of accidents is impossible. Safety barriers on the walls and on along the sides of track are not present in some tracks of other places. Drivers also have different interior head and neck restraints which are necessary and are most required to major tracks.

There are also some small racetrack owners that cannot afford expensive equipment. And many sanctioning bodies do not have proper standards for any safety regulations. And so to add up all of these problems, probably this will result to more and more deadly situations to happen. In some people, this can be considered as a bad addiction.
