Choosing what type of motorcycle to buy will be a little confusing and difficult decision to make because of the many different types, forms, sizes and styles of motorcycles available in the market to be purchased. The two most common type of motorcycle being bought are those that are designed to be ridden in pavements and street motorcycles. But there are also other kinds of motorcycles that most people is still not aware about.

Classified under the sport bike type of motorcycle is the street fighter motorcycle which primarily made and customized in order to attain a motorcycle appearance which is overall aggressive. Removing the fairing of the motorcycle or the shell part that is found above the frame of the motorcycle is one of the main customization to be done for the street fighter. Decreasing air drags and providing protection to the rider against hazards caused by the wind are the main purposes for removing the motorcycle's fairing.

Other than removing the fairing of the motorcycle, changes and customization of the motorbike to make it a street fighter motorcycle include providing high and upright handlebars, making the mufflers loud and short and putting headlights that are round and large.

Motorcycle manufacturers like Ducati, Triumph and Honda have tried to produce factory built street fighter motorcycles because of the increasing popularity of street fighter motorcycles nowadays.

Street fighter motorcycles are said to be popularized by European motorcycle riders however it is believed to be inspired by Japanese motorcycles during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Before, the reason why motorcycle fairings were removed is because of the facts that young motorcycle riders during that time could not afford to continuously replace damaged fairings that is caused by frequent crashes. In order to help the riders be able to perform different stunts, it was eventually added more customization including making the headlights round and large and making handlebars upright and high.

Aside from discussing about street fighter motorcycles, it is also important that safety riding is included in this discussion. Here are some tips on how motorcycle riders can avoid accidents when driving:

-Prior to riding or driving motorcycles and any other motor vehicles, make sure that you are capable of driving that vehicle and that you have appropriate knowledge regarding the basics of driving.

-Do not drive recklessly and be sure to drive carefully even if you are already an expert driver. This is because, there are still chances that you will meet with beginner drivers or reckless drivers that will make you prone to experience untoward accidents.

-Motorcycles are smaller and harder to notice compared to any other motor vehicles that is why you have to make sure to steer clearly and don't just rely on the turn signal to indicate changing or turning of lanes.

-Use of the five senses is not enough when driving; you should also use your sense of responsibility and common sense. This way, you will be able to decide properly if you are in a good condition to drive. If you think you are not able to drive properly, do not do so to avoid the risk of accidents and injury.
