Do not let your car's interior sit filthy.

Stage a preemptive juggling strike

The easiest way to help keep your automobile clean is to not juggle food, drinks, reading materials, telephones, grooming appliances, makeup and toys. Pay attention to the road and keep both hands on the wheel. If you must break into your stash of distractions, pull over so that you can devote your full attention.

Maintain through washing

Just like you regularly vacuum your home, you need to regularly vacuum your car. Vacuum underneath all the mats and on top of them if they need it. Use the different parts to make sure you get all the nooks and crannies. This day-to-day maintenance is essential. It makes it harder for dirt to set in when the upholstery fibers are upright, which occurs whenever you vacuum.

Spot repellents like Scotchguard are a fine way to guard your carpet from future mishaps. Do not go affordable here, if you're planning to shield your vehicle's carpet upholstery and not age it prematurely.

Get leather cleaner

One nice thing about leather is that it is water resistant generally. That means a spill will not seep through as long as you take care of it right away. All you need is a damp cloth and you can clean anything. Do not use leather-cleaning goods unless you have a more significant stain. In fact, you can get away with just water unless you spill something such as ink or nail polish.

Homemade cleaning solution

There are a ton of other things in the vehicle, such as vinyl and rubber that have to be cleaned. It may be a good idea to get an interior protectant to be able to help with the vinyl and rubber to guard them from sun damage. If you use baking soda on a damp rag, you can clean vinyl easily. Just make sure you use dishwashing detergent and water to rinse it afterwards.

A couple of extras

With cool water, you can dilute coffee spills. After that, you can soak in glass cleaner for 5 minutes before blot drying if the stain stays there

Clean greasy stains with paint thinner (test in a discrete area of carpet first) and salt or cornmeal. Let it sit overnight, then vacuum the area

Ink stains come right out with hairspray or salt

Getting rid of vomit does not have to be difficult. Just put club soda or baking soda on it to dilute the acids in it

Cover blood with a paste made of dry laundry starch and cold water. Let dry, brush and vacuum away

Cold water is used on alcohol spills

As long as you do not have wool carpet, you can use a half-cup ammonia to one pint of water mixture to brighten the fading carpet. Just vacuum and then sponge it with the mixture

When you have smelly carpet, you can use Borax. Let it sit for an hour and vacuum it up. Do this over again if you want to get rid of flea eggs and fleas

Spray the carpet with a mixture of five parts water and one part liquid fabric softener. This will get rid of static

Hate carpet imprints? Put a damp towel over the spot, and press with an iron set to low heat. Don't let the iron sit, as synthetic fibers can melt

Use liquid shoe wax polish on your vehicle mats to keep them looking new
