Chroming. This is the application of an appropriate coating around the cruise to prevent further corrosion and to improve the appearance. A specialized kind of coating with wax is recommended so that the salt particles that accumulate on the boat are removed well and to prevent pitting. It is a good repair mechanism especially when you want to remove all dirt on your hull.
