When I began to watch wrestling as a kid, something that I couldn't help but focus on was the capabilities that these wrestlers had. It seemed like they were able to utilize such great maneuvers at paces that I never believe people could have performed at. It made me a fan in the first place and even today I'm a sucker for watching high-risk or overall thrilling maneuvers. Who's to say that these maneuvers couldn't be helped thanks to the effect of obstacle races?

John Morrison may have been out of World Wrestling Entertainment for quite some time but it still doesn't change the fact that he was an asset for the company. I say this because he was able to perform matches while utilizing flips and high-risk moves in order to wow the audience and have them coming back for more. That was part of Morrison's appeal and why so many people became fans of his to begin with. I also think that it led others to try the moves for themselves, since he made them look effortless.

Morrison should give much thanks to the sport of parkour for the success he had in WWE. This sport which involves high levels of dashing and leaping fit his style like a glove for a hand, which made him put on better matches since his own flare was added. He has a style all his own and I have to believe that it will carry over to whatever wrestling promotion he works for currently. There are many great moves that he had during WWE and not many could keep up with Morrison.

Parkour is one of those events that leave me legitimately stunned and that's rare for someone like me, who has been exposed to wrestling in great amounts. The events that can help out on this matter could most likely be seen in obstacle races and I think that they could build the move sets of certain wrestlers. This stands as one of my few criticisms of the sport because I don't think enough wrestlers have extensive arrays of moves. Who's to say that events such as Spartan Race couldn't help on the matter?

I can't help but to notice a more limited scope when it comes to wrestling as we know it today, especially when you take companies like WWE into account. There may be a number of reasons as to why the matches of certain wrestlers come off as predictable. It's possible that there's more of a focus on safety and not many promoters are going to like the thought of talent being hurt on the job. Obstacle races have the potential to grant new moves but using them is another story.
