Modern forklifts already have a touch screen that allows further settings and displays. This replaces classical instrument panels, switches and indicator lamps. Thus, error messages about hydraulic oil levels, fuel and charging levels, but also operating hours and maintenance intervals are displayed as graphs or numbers. The so-called hare-hedgehog setting in five speed levels sets the switching behavior of synchronous transmission of forklifts for sale in Dallas.

Top models offer hydrostatic transmission and high stability with good climbing ability. Some of these trucks have four-wheel drive. Terrain forklifts are used in difficult terrain, for example in forestry, wood industry, mining, recycling industries, heavy industry, plant construction, concrete works and brickyards.

The first has a right and a left vehicle brake pedal and the direction is selected via a hand lever, which is usually located on the steering wheel. This driving direction sensor may be, for example, located on the first lever, the control unit for the mast, so that the driver can keep the hands at the controls.

Second, the system is used in the forward and reverse drive; this is especially true for forklift manufacturer Linde. In this system, the direction of imaging switch is illuminated. With the first variant, a so-called inching pedal is often available, which ensures that the truck can use its full hydraulic force for stacking operations at standstill.

Electric or gas powered forklift trucks may also work indoors. In many countries, trucks shall be used indoors with an internal combustion engine only after thorough tests. The power transmission is used for tilting, lifting and the steering is done partly with hydraulics. The traction drive devices work with an internal combustion engine and transmission fluid. Actuators use electric motors to avoid pollution.

It is equipped with a mast similar to that of a telescopic loader with one to 5.1 meters in terms of height of its highly mobile telescopic arm. Besides forks there can also be other attachments mounted to the boom, such as attach buckets. Thus, the machine is a universal multi-purpose device, similar to a skid steer loader. For special applications, a forklift can be equipped with special attachments.

A control stick similar to a joystick is used, in which each one can perform the function of two classic joysticks. A traditional steering wheel with the steering handle is used, it is hydraulically supported and directs the rear wheel, hence the great maneuverability of a forklift. A normal truck requires, in principle, mostly just its own vehicle length for turning, in principle, more or less each front tire at full steering lock.

The load capacity reduction can be calculated by the following formula. The calculation is performed in four steps: Forklift moment Mf = Q (X + C), Attachments moment ME = GE (ESP + X), residual torque MR = Mf ME, residual capacity G L = MR(X + V + L / 2). The abbreviations stand for: Mf - own moment forklift, Q - Nominal load capacity, X - degree front axle center, C- load center, ME - self-moment attachment, MR - residual torque, GE - weight attachment, ESP - gravity attachment, GL - maximum permissible weight of load, V - porch of attachment and L/2 - focal distance of load.
